Weather for my two days in Moshi, the base for trekking Kilimanjaro, will be ideal: partly cloudy with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s.
Kilimanjaro itself is a different story; it creates its own notoriously fickle weather. Here’s an idea of the median temperature at the elevation I’ll reach each day of the climb up:

Departure for Chicago at 5:30 in the A.M. on Saturday, September 4th. Then it’s a quick connection in Addis Ababa before heading to Moshi. About 24 hours altogether.
